Day at the park in DECEMBER!!!!

This is Tennessee weather for you! It's the end of December and its mid 50's out! My sister-in-law's brother is in town with his family so we decided to take all the kiddo's to the park since it was so nice out! Ryan (Jaime's brother) and I went to High School together and his wife Holly was my best friend growing up little sister so needless to say I know them both well and was glad to get to visit with them. There two children are beautiful (Hunter & Gracie). I think the two girls were a little jealous of THEIR Uncle Jim! When he had one girl the other would just look at him...watching his every move. He's definitely a great Uncle and all the little one's LOVE him!!!

Merry Christmas 2008!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This was an awesome Christmas with Rileigh. She really got into it this year which makes it more fun as parents! I can't imagine what next year will be like and the years after. I'm sure they will only get better and better!

We were actually home for Christmas this year (1st time in 10 years!) Christmas Eve we went to Huntsville,AL to visit Dennis parents and do Christmas with them. Rileigh was cracking us up, she would tear into the package and then have to stop and play with each new toy for about 5-10 minutes each! I thought we would never get them all opened! Her favorite toy I think she got was a new baby doll. She has really gotten into her babies. She got LOTS of great things and loves them all. Dennis and I had a good Christmas too, I got my new digital camera I had been wanting and Dennis finally got his Wii that he has been wanting! Thank you so much Sharon and Dennis for all the great gifts. So back to the new baby doll Rileigh got....on the way home we thought for sure Rileigh would sleep. She didn't really get a nap and stayed awake the whole trip down. It was raining outside and kinda hard to see the road and the WHOLE trip home 2 1/2 hours all Rileigh would talk about is this new baby! She didn't want to hold it, she would pick it up for a few minutes then throw it down on the ground and scream "baby,baby,baby" until you picked it back up and gave it to her. This went on several times before I was done playing this game. Dennis and I both agree to just let her cry...little did we know she was going to cry and scream "baby,baby,baby" for 2 hours! Needless to say we both had a headache when we got home!!!

Christmas morning we were at home for Santa to come visit. She was so cute when she woke up and saw the presents under the tree she went right over and sat down ready to open them. She had the hang of this opening presents thing! After opening them and getting a few more new babies to play with she walked over to the door put her coat on and said" bye-bye". She was ready to go to another house to see what else she could open!!! It was so cute, we couldn't help but laugh at her!
That afternoon we went to my brothers house for Christmas with my family. With the birth of Garrison Jim and Jaime were home this year for Christmas too! Jamie's mom and dad were down to help out with the little one's and for Christmas. Rileigh was in heaven when she saw MORE presents to open! Plus since Emily & Garrison was too young to open there's she got to help Uncle Jim & Aunt Jaime open them too! Needless to say she had a GREAT Christmas and got LOTS of great things! Thanks so much to our families for getting Rileigh so many great things! She wouldn't of had this great of a Christmas without all of y'all!

Garrison James Nelson!

Garrison is here! We didn't think he was going to make it before Christmas but he proved us wrong! Jaime was happy he came early!! He was born December 16,2008 @ 6:08pm. He weight 7lb.5oz and was 19 3/4 inches. He is doing great and cute as a button!

This is going to be a GREAT Christmas with all the kids. We have some much to be thankful for this year and all the miracles that has happen to our family.

Christmas Party at School 2008

Rileigh had a christmas party for her last day of school. Dennis and I was excited because we both got to attend the party!! The kids got to decorate the christmas tree on the wall, it was cute the one girl would take them down as soon as the kids would put there's on the tree! They also did a book exchange between the kids. The teachers made all the kids a bag with there pictures from the first day of school along with their names on it, they turned out so good! I just love her two teachers, they are so good to my little girl. Every tue/thur I tell Rileigh its time to go to school today, do you want to go see your friends and teachers and she always says "yea". She's so excited to go each week. That means so much to us that she loves it and enjoys going. She thinks she's such a big girl each week walking to her class room. She has to stop and say hi to everyone on the way...she's such a social butterfly! Let me tell you its a LONG walk down to her class room!!! :-) I think every teacher there knows Rileigh. It just amazes me how all these people know Rileigh by name.

Rileigh was on a sugar high after the party! We don't give her a lot of sweets and she got to eat cookies and everything else today!! She was smiling from ear to ear while eating, she even took the boys next to her and started to eat his too!

These are just a few cute pictures I have taken of Miss Rileigh! She is FINALLY loving her sunglasses! This summer we tried so hard for her to wear them on the boat and every time she would take them off as soon as we put them on!!! Maybe next summer will be different...

Horse and Carriage Ride!

We took Rileigh on her first horse and carriage ride today!!! When she woke up this morning we asked her if she wanted to go ride the horse today she said "yea" and then ran to the front door to look at the horses across the street! She was so excited I swear she kept saying horse all day!

At the Avenue Mall they are giving free horse and carriage rides for the month of December. It was cold out there but we all bundled up and went! We got there right when they open at 2pm so we didn't have to wait out in the cold too long! (the things we do for a FREE activity!!)

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

We had a WONDERFUL thanksgiving with my family.The food was good and the company was GREAT! The girls were so cute mom made them matching "turkey" dresses- they turned out sooooo cute! I saw it online and wanted one for Rileigh, I decided before I order one I'm going to see if mom can't make it for her....after she finished the dress it turned out sooo cute that Jaime wanted one made for Emily! Now just wait to see the Christmas dress mom made for them!!! :-) Jaime and I decided that it is cute to dress them alike now and wanted too before they got too old and wanted there own styles!!!

Emily has really started to get a personality now days! We put her on Rileigh's favorite toy...the aquarium mat...I think she loved it as much as Rileigh did! So much that she took it home with her!!!!

And of course my FAVORITE thing about Thanksgiving...Black Friday shopping!!!! I got up at 2:45am so I could be at Wal-mart around 4:00'ish!!! I had my shopping ad's out, everything circled I was ready to go!! I got everything on my list so I was a happy camper! My brother was like a little kid picking out his Christmas items, he made his circles too!!! LOL

14 months old!

Here are a couple pictures I have taken over the last few days that I think are cute as can be!!!! Rileigh wanted to wear her backpack...guess she thought it was a school day!!! Her Turkey dress she has on my mom made for her! It looks so cute on her- thanks mom! I can't wait to see her and her cousin Emily on thanksgiving day in their matching dresses!!! :-)

Trick or Treat (Halloween 2008)

Rileigh went Trick or Treating at Farmington with the Pippin's! She did good, she walked up to the houses and open her bag. The people that gave her good stuff she blew kisses to them!!! It was really cute! Here are some pictures of all the kids dressed up. (If you click on the pictures they get bigger- Dennis did have a mask on he didn't just wear his beat up shirt for nothing..LOL!!) Thanks Tiffany & Troy we had fun!

14 months old!

Rileigh amazes me on how much she knows at 14 months old. You can ask her where her nose, ear, tummy, & toes are and she knows where there at! She knows how to say: dog, duck, mommy, daddy, hi, drink, juice, uh-o, and her newest word is WOW-I'm sure I'm forgetting something! If you say One she will say Two and then your done!!!! If you ask her something and she wants it she will say "yea" I've got to say at a young age she knows what she wants and what she doesn't want!!! She is very opinionated!

She LOVES to dance, anytime music is on she is shaking her booty! She also loves reading books, every night before bed she grabs her animal book and gets up on the couch and reads it. If you ask her where the dog is she points to it same with duck, and cat! She is definitely her daddy's child when it comes to the brains! We are so proud of you Rileigh keep this up and college might be paid for!!!

Hoedown 2008... Our little Lady Bug!

We took Rileigh to the Hoedown at World Outreach Church for the 1st time! They do such an awesome job for the kids! She got to ride a pony for the 1st time- I think she liked it! They had live music playing and as soon as she heard it she wanted out of the stroller and started dancing!!! We took some pictures but this would of been a great moment to have the video camera (which we took but Daddy forgot it in the car!) She loved decorating the cookie but I think she enjoyed eating it more!!! We had a great time watching her have so much fun!

After we got done with the Hoedown @ WOC we went and saw Uncle Jim & Aunt Jaime & Emily at Northside Church. She got to decorated a pumpkin there! We walked around for a few minutes and did Trunk or Treat!

Rileigh had her one year pictures made at Rutledge Falls, Tullahoma. Our photographer told us about the place, I had never heard of it but I'm glad we took her advise and went! It was a beautiful place. The hike down to the waterfall wasn't too bad, although I'm glad Dennis was there to take Rileigh down!

It has been while since I have posted anything on here...here is pictures from the last couple of weekends.

Rileigh went to her first GT game in Georgia. She probably would of enjoyed it a lot more if she had her nap!!! It's a little different going to a GT game vs. MTSU!!! Their are a LOT more people there!!! She always has fun playing with her cousins though! It was a great weekend!

This weekend we stayed around home. She got to play with her friends McKenzie and Nate! It was so cute they all crawled up on the couch and read a book- couldn't get them to do that again if we wanted too!!!

First Camping trip! (13 months old)

We took Rileigh on her first camping trip this weekend! She did GREAT. I got to say I was kinda nervous about taking her not knowing how she would do not sleeping in her own bed. She played all day at the camp site with her toys and the other kids(I thought she would get bored being out there all day with limited toys, but nope she had a blast). I can't say we really rough necked it this year we did sleep inside a camper!!!! (Thanks Joe and Carol!) We kicked the guys outside so us girls and kids could have a bed! I thought it was just me when I go camping I get up early....well so does Rileigh!!! She was up at 5:45AM! Needless to say when we got home we all took a 2 1/2 hr. nap!!! Now that we see she is our little outdoors girl we will definitely be planning some camping trips next year!!!!

I picked Rileigh up from her MDO today and the teacher showed me what she made! It's her first time using finger paint! She got to color the letter "o" and then they did a hand print with her picture!

1st day at Mothers-Day-Out Program!

Rileigh started her first day at Mothers-Day-out today! We went last night for open house and she seem to like it. Her teachers name is Miss Christy and the asst. teachers name is Christy too (easy to remember!!). The asst. teacher reached for her last night when we got there and Rileigh went right too her! Then she wanted to get down and check out all the new toys! Their are 6 kids in her class 2 girls and 4 boys! She was playing with them last night and seem to be having fun! I got to admit I was kinda nervous going today, Rileigh is use to being with mommy all day! I couldn't believe it....when we got there Miss Christy put her arms out for Rileigh and Rileigh went right to her again! I kinda step to the side and waited to see if she was going to cry or not. NOPE, she got down and started playing with the toys! I was Shocked and happy all at the same time! I stayed for a few minutes and once I realized she was fine I was able to sneak out without her seeing me. I asked the teacher if she had my cell phone number in case she needed me to come get her, she could tell I was nervous about leaving her today! She was really sweet and said if you want you can call the main # to check on her today or if you want I can give you my personal cell phone I have it in my pocket with me at all times. I thought that was really sweet of her. I got to admit, I did call around 10:30am to check on her, I just knew by then that she would realized that I wasn't there and started crying...nope wrong again Miss Christy said she was having a ball playing with all the other kids! After that I knew everything was going to be okay and that we made the right decision in putting her in the program.

I took a few pictures of her this morning before we left. I didn't take my camera with me (seeing how I thought she would be balling her eyes out!!) I must of been the only mom there today without her camera :-( I think it was best though that I didn't, I think then Rileigh would of been more likely to start crying and realize what was going on...maybe in a couple weeks when she's comfortable with the program I can get some of her in her new classroom with her teachers!

12 month check-up

Rileigh went for her 12 month check-up today. She has a little runny nose but other than that the Dr. said she look's great! And as always Dr. Adams said she was a "tall & Skinny" child!!!! I just hope for her sake she stays that way!!! :-)

Rileigh's 1st Birthday!!

Wow...a year has already come and gone! Rileigh had her big ONE birthday party this weekend! She had a ball. We had a big bouncy thing for all the kids to play in- Rileigh loves it and it's great to keep all the other kids entertained!! We had a great turn out...she has lots of great friends and family! She got lots of great toys! She was so excited about her toy's she woke up at 4:30 AM this morning wanting to play with all her new things and eat her puff's she got!!!! Needless to say I was exhausted! We played till about 5:45AM then I made her go back to bed. She needed to get some sleep for her one year pictures today! We had some family pictures taken as well. The photographer told us about this cool place in Tullahoma "Rutledge Falls" it was beautiful! I can't wait to get the pictures back! We took a bunch down by the water fall. We had Rileigh standing in the water next to a rock....all was going great till she decided to sit down in the water and daddy didn't stop her in time!!!!

This has been one exciting year for Dennis and I. We have a beautiful baby girl that we love so much! Each day just amazes me. She has grown so much this past year and is turning into a beautiful girl. I love you so much Rileigh....words can't describe my love for you!

Rileigh in Extreme Preciousness!

Rileigh's 1st step!!!

She finally did it...she took her 1st step for mommy and daddy on Friday night(19 days before she turns ONE)!!! I'm so glad Dennis and I were both around to see it! So far each accomplishment she has made we both have been there for it!!! Dennis was able to get it on video her taking a couple more steps Saturday morning- I'm sure he will be posting it soon! Way to go Rileigh we are so proud of you!

Nate's 3rd bday party & weekend

We had a 3 year olds birthday party this weekend (Nate)- Rileigh had so much fun, they rented a big jump thing for the kids. Rileigh was having a ball in it! She was laughing and bouncing all around! It was so hot outside though the kids couldn't stay in it for a long period of time! We got Nate a fishing pole for his birthday so sunday we had to go out on the lake to try it out! I think the boy caught a fish everytime he threw it in the water!!! Of course I wasn't digging all the fish laying out on my raft!! We had a good time though. Here are some pictures from the party and the lake this weekend! Rileigh was finally enjoying the water with mommy! She was digging just laying in her lifejacket in mommy's arms. Normally she just likes being in the boat and just put in the water for a few minutes to cool her off but today she was happy staying in the water!!!!

Weekend Fun!

We had a wonderful weekend with the cousins! We started out with a cookout friday night & everyone got to meet Miss Emily :-) !! Saturday we went to the lake and had a blast! Natalie had fun swimming in the lake while Ryan & Rileigh had just as much fun playing in the boat! Here are some pictures from this weekend....enjoy!
