My little girl is growing up....

Seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital, and now she's 3 years old, out of diapers totally, no more crib....time has gone by WAY too fast!

This summer Rileigh switched from her crib to a toddler bed. She loved being a big girl problem is she likes to sleep with WAY TOO MANY baby dolls so the toddler bed was quickly outgrown!!!! For Christmas 2010 we decided to buy her a full size bed so she would have room to sleep with ALL her babies! She was sooooooo excited, it was so cute! You would think getting a bed for Christmas for a kid would be the worse gift ever but nope not her, she LOVED it! We did give it to her early and she has enjoyed every night in it!

I've had her out of diapers since she was 2yr. 4 months, only time she wore them was to bed. I didn't know if I was ever going to get her to wear her panties all night long (she was still very wet every morning) finally when we got her big girl bed I figured it was time to get her out of diapers one way or another!!!! I decided to buy her some princess pull ups and cut out drinks 1 hour before bed! It was like potty training all over again, she was so proud the 1st night that she didn't pee on her princess. After 5 nights of being dry, she wanted to try her panties that night! I was soooo proud of her she woke up dry and VERY proud of herself! (mommy & daddy were very proud too) We made a big deal out of it, she got to go to the store and buy any baby doll she wanted and pick where she wanted to eat lunch!!!

My little girl is growing up so quick, before you know it she will be in school! Wish I could keep her young forever. I enjoy spending my days with her, we have so much fun! love you baby girl!

1st Field Trip @ School- Walden Farm Pumpkin Patch 2010

Rileigh was so excited that she got to go on a field trip at school today (okay so was mommy!!!!) We got to start off our special day with us eating lunch with them at school! I decided since it was such a special day that I would surprise Rileigh with a special lunch....Happy Meal from McDonald's instead of her boring PBJ!!!!! She loved it, I really think she loved the Strawberry Short Cake toy more than anything!!!!

After lunch we all piled in our cars and headed out to Walden Farm Pumpkin Patch in Smyrna! We started off going through a hay maze, the kids loved it they got to go through it on their own. They all thought they were big stuff!!!! Then we got to go on a hay ride, on our hay ride we saw some really cute pony's of course Rileigh LOVED that!!!! They had a couple animals to see....baby cows (they were so cute), pigs, and chickens. Then our group leader read them a book about how Pumpkins are grown and they got to go pick out any pumpkin they wanted! Rileigh grab the 1st one she came across!!!!! She wasn't interested in "searching" for the perfect one! She was very proud of her pumpkin, in her eyes it was the perfect one!!!! After all the kids got their pumpkins they got to go through a corn maze! Now this one the adults did go through it with them! Us mom's were joking around saying wonder what the kids would do if they got to go through this on their own...we would probably still be looking for them!!!!

It was such a fun day!!! We couldn't of asked for better weather! Usually at this point I am posting some pictures of the day....well....I got to the pumpkin patch took the camera out to start clicking away..... and I forgot my camera card at home :-( Thank goodness all of us mom's get along so well and they all said they would take plenty of pictures of Rileigh for me and send them to me so as soon as I get them I will post them!!!! Hopefully someone got a cute group shot of the class, they all looked so cute with there matching shirts they made!!!!

3 year check up...

Height: 39 inches


Her biggest milestones so far is learning how to spell her name! I thought she would have a hard time since it's not an easy name to spell, but we made a song out of it and within no time she had it down!!!!

She has learn to count to 10 in Spanish (thank you Dora)! Of course she amazes us everyday with her vocabulary!

Downsides to 3: Thinks she knows it all!!! She is a very independent girl who thinks she's always right! One day I will be thankful she is a very strong will, independent girl who can hold her own but right now I wish I could have my sweet Rileigh!!!! She is very sassy when talking, let's hope this stage goes by quick!!!!!

No matter what we love and cherish every minute we get with her!!! Her smiles, the "I love you" melts our hearts every time!!!! I can't get enough kisses and hugs from her! Love you baby girl!!!!

Rileigh was so good, she would actually pose & smile this year!!!!!! (unlike last year when poor Shannan just chased her around and snapped!!!!) Im in my Big Girl Bed!!!!

Right after Rileigh's 3yr birthday we started talking to her about her big girl bed. At 1st she was totally against it, she said monsters could get her in that bed she wanted to stay in her crib!!! Then I decided one day to ask her if she wanted me to move her toddler bed into her bedroom and take naps on it, she was ALL for this! She wanted it in the middle of the room! When she woke up from her nap that day she said "mommy, I don't ever want to sleep in my crib again, it's for babies"! Ever since then she's been sleeping in her bed all night long :-)!! I did talk her into moving it from the middle of the room next to a wall!
We thought we would be smart and just move her crib to the side just in case the bed thing didn't work out. Once we knew it was going to be okay we thought we would try and take it out...OH NO that wasn't happening!!! She started crying saying "I need my little girl bed back" we figured out she doesn't want to sleep in it, she just wants it in her room!!!! So for now it will stay in there until she tells us she wants it out!!!!! Baby steps right?!?!?!?!

Yee Haw it's Rileigh's 3rd B-day!

Rileigh decided she wanted to have a "Cowgirl" party this year! It was so much fun planning it, from taking the pictures for the invitation, coming up with cute ideas for party decorations to making the horse suckers for all her friends!

Rileigh's so excited to have a pony come to her party! I was really scared we wasn't going to be able to do the pony rides due to weather but we lucked out and the sun finally came out so we all ran outside and rode the pony!!! The pony's name is Popcorn, all the kids loved him! It was a big hit and of course the b-day girl got to ride a couple times!! :-)







I had the same woman who made Rileigh's cake last year make it again this year! I took her Rileigh's actual cowgirl boots and she make her cake to match!




Rileigh got sooooo many wonderful gifts! She has such wonderful giving friends! She really wanted some barbies and man did she get some!!! She is having a ball playing with all her new toys! It looked like Christmas yesterday!!!! Her big gift this year from mommy & daddy was her swing set, we gave it to her early so she would have all summer long to enjoy it (and man have we enjoyed it, sooo glad we put it in)!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

I can't believe my baby is three, where does the time go? She has blessed us with so many great memories in just three short years!

Rileigh has a lot of opinions this year on what she wanted to do!! For her actual birthday she wanted to go to Toot's to have lunch, wanted to go get her toe nails painted and then to the movies with her friends!!!! So that's what we did!

We invited her friends from school to hang out with us: Hughes & Jacob- she loves these two boys!!!! They have so much fun playing with each other!

Of course Rileigh loved when they sang "happy birthday" to her at the restaurant! She was smiling ear to ear!

We decided that we would go watch the movie "Cat's & Dog's". We ended up being the only one's in the movie theater, the kids had a ball running all around playing, eating popcorn, and watching the movie! The poor clean up crew they thought it was a full theater with the mess we made!!! Rileigh was so cute she would run down to the front of the auditorium and sign "happy birthday" to herself and then run back up to us and say "thank you for coming to my party"!!! I think she thought I rented the movie theater out just for her!!!!

Thank you Constance & Cynthia for making Rileigh feel so special on her birthday! She had a great day, the only thing Rileigh said that could of made her day more special is if her friend Samson could of came!!!! She has so many great friends that she loves so much!

Summer 2010

What a GREAT summer we've had! We've done a lot of swimming this summer, hanging out with friends, drive in movies, playing in the backyard.....so many great memories! I am very blessed to have this time with my daughter, I cherish every minute I get with her!

July 14, 2010-9 year anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary to me and my hubby...9 years already (12 years together)! It's been a wonderful 9 years, we've been very blessed to be able to travel the world & then settle down and have a wonderful little girl who has blessed us so much! This year we decided to spend the day as a family! My wonderful husband came up with the idea to go to Chattanooga for the day and go to the aquarium! When we told Rileigh she was going to get to see fish, crocodiles, snakes, she was so excited! Here are some pictures...
