Splash Park!

Rileigh and I are all about having fun this summer so when I heard about this splash park in Smyrna I knew we had to go! Plus it's free!! :-) We called up a friend of ours Shannan and her precious boy Samson to see if they wanted to go with us! Rileigh was super excited about going to play in water and that Samson was going with us! We took a picnic to have after we played! It was a GREAT day, will definitely do it again soon!!!! Enjoy these wonderful pictures that Shannan took for me!!!!

Toddler Time with Thomas Class!

Today's class was sooooo much fun! I was super excited as well as Rileigh about her class this morning at Sports Com. All day yesterday Rileigh and I were talking about going back to sports com for another class, she was super excited cause her friend Samson was coming today with her! All she kept saying was I get a sticker....at the end of the last class they all got stickers, funny that's the only thing my child remembers about the class!!LOL

Thomas was the instructor of the class and when all the other moms were going on and on about how good he was with the kids they weren't kidding!!! Rileigh actually participated the whole time! They sat on a mat and sang songs, played with hula hoops, balls, a big para shoot, and of course ran up and down the gym!!!! I didn't have any drama with her today! (thank god). Samson was funny, he would get mad when they were done with the activity and moving to another, where Rileigh was done and bored with that one and ready to move to something different! Overall, they both had fun and did GREAT!! We are super excited to go back, bad news is Thomas is going on vacation for 2 weeks...argh finally find something fun to do and we have to wait 2 weeks to go back!

Anyways, we had a great day and will be doing it again in 2 weeks! Hopefully Samson will be joining us too!!!

Tumbleweed Class

I've been trying to think of different things to do with Rileigh during the summer. While at the park the other day a nanny and I was talking and she was telling me about some of the FREE stuff or low cost stuff that they've been doing that her 2yr. old has really enjoyed. I was super excited to try some of them out! Sports Com has a couple programs for toddlers one of them is the Tumbleweeds class that takes place on Wed. this class is to help with basic tumbling techniques. Then Toddler time with Thomas on Friday's is to help with motor-skill development. The problem is on some of the classes you can only call that day to sign up, according to everyone I've talked to if you don't call when they open at 6am you don't get a spot in the class! I was so excited to take Rileigh today, I set the alarm clock at 6am to get up and call! I got us in!

I got there a few min. early, I was asking the other moms how many times they've been, etc. The one mom said this was her 2nd time, last week he enjoyed it but wanted to do his own thing at times so I was glad to hear that seeing how I wasn't sure what Rileigh was going to do!!

It started off they all got on tiny mats to stretch, so far she was doing good staying on her mat, watching all the other kids and teacher doing there stretches! Then they did some different things running, hopping, skipping, crawling like bears, etc..again she's still doing good and enjoying it. Then the teacher told all the kids to go sit down by the wall so she could put the obstacle course together....that's when Rileigh decided she was done with the program (LOL) she did NOT want to go sit down like EVERY other kid was!!! She wanted to help the teacher put it all out...after going round and round with her the teacher was finally ready for them to do the course. She said Rileigh could go first- thank god cause I know she wasn't going to stand in line for her turn!!!! They started off jumping on a trampoline, then did a somersault, through a tunnel, climb over a stick, through the tunnel again, step on these color stones, then walk across the balance beam, lay down and roll and jump up and hit this tower!!! It was very cute and she did great doing it! I think she was the only kid around her age that could do a somersault on her own!!! The teacher was very impressed!!!

Overall it was a great class and we had fun (minus the melt down). I asked Rileigh if she liked it and she said "YES", I asked if she would like to go back sometime and she said "YES".

We are going friday to Toddler time with Thomas. I'm super excited about this one cause everyone keeps going on and on about how good Thomas is with the kids. Hopefully he can keep my daughter in line..LOL!!!!! I'll let you know....

Weekend with the cousins!

We had a great weekend with the Nelson family! Friday night the kids had a great time playing outside, bouncing in the bounce house, eating pizza and finishing the night off with a snow cone! I've never seen so many sweaty kids in my life! (You can see the sweat in the pictures!!!LOL) Saturday we headed to the lake for a day of fun! The kids had so much fun playing in the water as well as hanging out on the boat! It was so much fun watching them interact with each other this visit! They truly enjoyed playing with each other and running around chasing each other!

When it came to bed time they all hopped in the king size bed, grab there blankets, pillows and said night night like they were all going to sleep together! It was so cute, but we knew this wouldn't work out, none of them would sleep!!! So the mean parents we are we made them sleep in there own beds, maybe in a couple more years they can have there sleep overs in the same bed/room!

Can't wait to see them this fall at a Georgia Tech game!
