I've got to say it just get's better and better every year... We had a GREAT family vacation with my parents, brother and his family in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The ride down we took our time, we stopped to see an old friend in Columbia, SC for the night.Breaking up that long ride works best for us, however, Rileigh was really GREAT in the car! We forgot to bring her movies to watch in the car so we made a short trip to Wal-mart to buy her a new Dora cd....I must say worth EVERY PENNY! When we pulled up to Jennifer's house Rileigh said "this isn't vacation mommy". We've been showing her pictures of the resort and all the things to do while were there so she knew Jennifer's house didn't look like what I've been showing her!!!! Needless to say we got a good laugh out of it!
They were all so excited to go play in the sand and ocean! I love how they are all water babies and enjoy being outside running around and not cooped up in front of a TV all day!
Here is a picture of Rileigh and Uncle Jim playing in the ocean the 1st day we got there, as you can see she was having a ball!!!!
Rileigh really surprised us when she jumped into the pool all on her own without us catching her. She wasn't scared at all going under water (before today she didn't like going under water and getting her face wet). I thought it would freak her out but NOPE she LOVED it did it over and over and over and over! Just when I thought this would be her only milestone in the pool she proved us wrong, she started floating on her back and enjoying it (again she hates water getting in her ears so she didn't like leaning her head back)We are so proud of you baby girl!
Rileigh enjoyed watching all the kids playing on the surf boards she acted like she really wanted to do it so we decided to go buy her a board to see what she would do. Seeing how Dora is her new favorite thing right now we decided to buy her a "Dora" surf board! She really enjoyed it until she fell off in the ocean then it scared her a little. Every time after that when we asked her if she wanted to ride it again she said "no, I'm not 3, when I turn 3 I'll ride it again"LOL!
Emily & Garrison thought they would try it out too....they LOVED it!
Evening out on the town....
My little dare devil....she wanted to do this SO bad, I thought she would be to young but nope so we let her do it and she did GREAT!!!!
Next up...Beach pictures!
